The GE age determination system is weak and other clues as to age may be needed (i.e. Furnace condition, maintenance schedule, owner’s manual, etc.). 359567 0 38 - This sample serial number indicates that the unit was manufactured in the 38th week (September) of 1980, 90, 2000, etc. Serial number is: 580439 947 Your serial number indicates that the unit was manufactured in the 47th week (November) of 1979, 1989, 1999, or 2009.
